The Sultans of String were nominated for the 2006 Toronto Independent Music Awards for Best Instrumental Band! 5K Folk Feet Fun Run 2008 at OCFF
Get Your Running Shoes ON!
The Ontario Council of Folk Festivals (OCFF) holds an annual conference -
this year in Ottawa - Oct 23-26.
An annual tradition at the conference has been the 5K Folk Feet Fun Walk/Run.
This year the fun walk/run will be a fund-raiser for ArtsCan Circle!
Saturday, Oct. 25 8:30 a.m.
The good-hearted walkers & runners will depart from the conference hotel, the Crowne Plaza -Ottawa, for a scenic loop along the river and canal in downtown Ottawa's historic.
ADDED this year - a 3K Route for walkers/runners who would like to finish the run more quickly! (your choice). The
routes will take less than an hour to complete.
This year's participants have the opportunity to enlist sponsors in support of ArtsCan Circle. We'll have runner/sponsor sign-up sheets in the ArtsCan Circle booth in the Confernece Exhibit Hall to help participants enlist the support of their colleagues!
Some great folks have already pledged to run/walk this year - Join Erin Benjamin, Magoo, Richard Flohil, Jan Vanderhorst, Katherine Wheatley and others to show your support of ArtsCan Circle!
