Atomic world-jazz-flemenco!!
Sultans of String are Canada’s ambassadors of musical diversity. The band romps through an energized adventure of Latin, Middle Eastern, Gypsy–jazz and folk rhythms, celebrating musical fusion and human creativity with warmth and virtuosity. Fiery violin dances with rumba-flamenco guitar while a funk bass lays down unstoppable grooves. Acoustic strings meet electronic wizardry to create layers and depth of sound, exciting audiences to their feet with the irresistible need to dance.
Six-string violinist and bandleader Chris McKhool (who has guest starred with Jesse Cook and Pavlo), will be joined for this concert with guitarist nonpareil Kevin Laliberté (Jesse Cook, The Chieftains), and bass master David Woodhead (Stan Rogers, Loreena McKennitt).

SCRAPBOOKER? We're also looking for someone to maintain the ArtsCan Circle archives. If you like keeping scrapbooks and photo albums and would like to help let us know!
