The Experiences of Sexual Minority Youth In Visible Minority Immigrant and Refugee Communities
Diversity of Identities and Acceptance of All Minds (DIAM) and OPTIONS Sexual Health Association are conducting research into the experiences and needs of Sexual Minority Youth (aged 18-29) in Visible Minority Immigrant and Refugee Communities.
Research indicates that members of these communities may face unique barriers and challenges to living fully and openly in Canadian Society. This project will facilitate the development of a plan whereby DIAM and its allied organizations are well prepared to address the needs and aspirations along side sexual minority youth from immigrant, refugee and visible minority communities today and well into the future.
If you are a sexual minority youth between the ages of 18-29 in a visible minority, immigrant or refugee community or have experience working with individuals from these communities and are able to donate approximately an hour of your time to our study please contact Zach at zachatoptions@gmail.com or 780-423-3737 to participate in an individual interview.
All information discussed during interviews is confidential and participants will be compensated for travel costs.
