Ukulele Mania!
We've got several trips in the planning stages for this fall. We're hoping to return to Pikangikum, Mishkeegogamang and several other commmunities! It would be wonderful to be able to take some Ukulele's to Pikangikum. There are over 700 students in their school and we try to involve as many children as we can directly.
The Uke is a wonderful instrument to get started on and makes the transition to guitar easy when their hands get a little bigger! As well, the Uke's are great instruments in their own right and with introductory group lessons kids are making music in no time!
We would love to bring 30 Uke's to Pikangikum this fall. If you could sponsor a Uke for a child it would help us make that dream a reality. Each Uke will cost about $30. Can you help? Please contact us with your donation or click on the blue button above to donate online through Canada Helps (click the blue button above) or send a cheque to the address below. We'll be happy to send you a charitable tax receipt for your donation amount.
We also need guitar straps, guitar strings, electronic tuners, picks and good teaching materials. Your financial donations can help with these needed accessories!
Thanks for your support!

Website Renovations
Thanks also goes to Trevor Mills of Top Quark Productions for helping us with our website and making it easier to update. We've also added some new features including some songs written by the kids in the Northern communities and hope to have some video clips up soon! Many Thanks!
Many thanks to all the people who donated Aeroplan Air Miles during our May month campaign. Together we managed to gather 125,657 Aeroplan Miles! That will help with transportation of teams for at least two trips to our Northern communities. This will be an annual event so please keep us in mind for May 2010 and keep saving those Aeroplan miles.
Our thanks to all the festivals and events that hosted an ArtsCan Circle booth or info table over the summer. You all helped us spread the word of ArtsCan Circle's programs and the needs of our youth in the North!
Special thanks to Dave Joyce, Jim Norris, Judy Fink, Carol Teal, Bev Mills, Nancy Dutra, Donna Shumaker, Scotty Thomas, Sherry Munroe, Lisa Pigeau and all the volunteers for making our presence possible at these events.
Here's a photo of Dave and Jim in the ArtsCan Circle booth at the Music Industries Association of Canada (MIAC) Trade Show on Aug 23 - 24. Our sincere thanks to Nancy Dutra and Dave Joyce for representing ArtsCan Circle at the MIAC Show! Thanks to everyone who stopped by the booth and expressed their support and signed the email list! We love seeing our community of friends grow!

Letters of Love
We get loads of love from the kids we serve - help us keep making a difference in their lives. Here's some of the notes we received from the kid's journal writing after the trips last spring.
