Youth Space

Tim Burton Movie Marathon (Oct 30):
Celebrate Halloween the way it was meant to be celebrated - by gorging on candy and watching spooky movies. Join us at YouthSpace as we bask in the brilliance of Tim Burton with a triple-feature of his best films: The Nightmare Before Christmas, Sleepy Hollow, and Sweeney Todd.

Peer Mentor Program:
Looking for an opportunity to become a leader? Want to help other youth? Why not volunteer as a Youth Leader! Youth Leaders help make the YouthSpace a safe and welcoming space for new youth, help other youth find out about resources and activities happening in the community and help plan activities and events for the YouthSpace. For more info or to sign-up as a Youth Leader, please email Brendan or call him at 780-488-3234

*Snowballs III*

Gay and lesbian-themed ski trips are rapidly gaining in popularity as
gay men and women head for the hills for snow, shopping and socializing.
Snowballs III is your chance to get away from February 5-7, 2010!

The first two trips were such successes that organizers want to again
offer a low-cost getaway over a weekend right here in Alberta. The fun
begins on the round-trip party bus (yes, they have a liquor license),
with movies, prizes, and entertainment, leaving Edmonton on Friday
evening with a quick stop in Calgary and returning Sunday evening.

Travelling alone? Don't ski? So are some of the people who have already
signed up. Prices are per-person (taxes and fees included), based on
double ($395pp), triple ($375pp) or quad occupancy ($355pp), and they’ll
do their best to pair you with a roommate if needed.

You get round-trip transportation, two nights of accommodation,
continental breakfasts each morning on the way to the hills, and lift
tickets at both hills. That’s a savings of over $100 at regular price!
Your meals; drinks; ski equipment rentals or instruction, if needed are
not included.

If you don't want to ski at Lake Louise, a -$50 discount applies. If you
don't ski at Sunshine, a -$25 discount applies (you will get a gondola
pass). A $150 non-refundable but transferable deposit will reserve your
spot. Final payments are due December 31, 2009. For more information
contact Mike at 780-905-8180 or Aaron at 780-908-5151.

*Get a special Price Centre early bird discount of -$20 per person if
you mention this article and pay in full by November 15, 2009*

Sex, Drugs & Rock 'n Roll

November 13th 4pm-9pm
Come join us at the Pride Centre as we, in collaboration with Exposure Festival enjoy some awesome activities & presentations about sex & drugs ... and of course, jam out with a local rock band or two!

Edmonton Vocal Minority

EVM is a mixed-voice chorus made up of singers with all ranges of ability. Although EVM is a proudly Queer choir, you don't have to be Queer to be a member. You will find EVM to be accepting, friendly, and fun. A place to feel safe as well as a place to explore your musical talent.

The chorus is conducted by Paula Roberts who provides great vocal coaching each week along with teaching the exciting and varied repertoire. Brad Heintzman is the choir's accompanist and sometime arranger who brings many years of experience and knowledge to the group. EVM's General Manager and Assistant Music Director is Kirk Kryvenchuk, who works with Paula and the Board to ensure that the organisation runs smoothly.
