LAST CHANCE: MUNICIPAL ELECTION CAMPAIGNS 2.0

Last chance folks! It's just one week until Social Tech Brewing's municipal election campaigns 2.0 event on April 6th, 5:30 PM, at the Centre for Social Innovation. If you are thinking of attending, please take a moment to RSVP at Upcoming.org or by sending a quick note to phillip@communitybandwidth.ca

The line-up of electronic rabble rousers is impressive -- if you come out on the 6th, you'll experience "speed demos" of a number of innovative projects and tools that will change the face of municipal elections in Toronto, including location-based e-mail lists, Google Map integrations, open access to campaign finance and voting records, and the latest in online civic engagement strategies.

You'll also hear from several candidates that are preparing to campaign for office this fall: their hopes, their dreams, and their burning technology questions!

We still have a few spots left for people that would like to present. Please take a moment now -- if you haven't already done so -- and either:

A) Forward this note to a techie that you know who's working on an election-related project or technology

B) Invite your councillor -- or a candidate who has registered -- to attend the event. You can find your councillor or people who are running in your ward listed here: http://app.toronto.ca/vote2006/jsp/candidatesWard.jsp

You can find all the event details here: http://socialtechbrewing.org/april6

And you can RSVP here: http://upcoming.org/event/62062/

Look forward to seeing you next Thursday!

The Social Tech Brewing Co. Toronto planning team: David, Margaret, and Phillip.
