Whether it's about equal marriage or Star Wars, the next
election promises to be full of fun. With minority
governments lasting on average 18 months in Canada, we
could be facing an election soon.
The February 2005 Social Tech Brewing - "How to Get
Involved in the Next Election" - is all about linking
tech types with political campaigners, starting
conversations, and making Canada a better place.
We are going to bring together some Toronto-area
campaigners and techies who worked on the last
election, talk about some of the things that worked
(and didn't work) online, and offer lots of time for
meeting like-minded folks in an informal setting.
We hope you can join us at the Fields Institute (222
College St., one block East of Spadina and College,
North side) at 5:30 pm, Thursday, February 3.
We will be adjourning to The Red Room, 444 Spadina,
one block south of College, West side) for beverages
and more informal talk at around 6:45 pm.
Please help spread the word so that techies interested
in politics and politicos interested in tech will show up!
